The tax applies per guest and night:

  • €3.00 per person and night
    • Arrival- and departure-day count as one day
    • 1,00 € if the gross room rate is lower than 30,00 €

Occupational trips are not exempt from tax in Leipzig.

Nevertheless, there are groups of people who are exempted from paying:

  • Children and adolescents up to the age of 18 years
  • Pupils, students and apprentices until their 25th birthday
  • Handicapped and their registered companion
  • Sick people who can not leave the accommodation (with a medical certificate)

Your city tax exemption on business trips
